Youth of the Year
Across the United States each year, teenagers volunteer at their local Boys & Girls Club. Most of the volunteers were members as children. Every year, the organization choses one teenager in all of their units that they feel is the best role model to members, and that teenager is selected as the organization's Youth of the Year. This year, Jessica Dougherty was selected as the Boys & Girls Club of Southeast Alabama's Youth of the Year. Although Jessica is involved in church and school activities, she still finds the time to volunteer at the Club almost every day. She sets positive examples for all youth in the city of Ozark. We are proud of Jessica and all of her accomplishments in life.
To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
